What is Living in Keizer Oregon Like?

Keizer, Oregon, in Marion county, is 3 miles N of Salem, 70 miles North of Eugene and 40 miles SW of Portland.  Keizer was named after Thomas Dove Keizer. The first settlers arrived in the area in the 1840s. The John Pugh house is the oldest in the city, built-in in 1875. The town was incorporated in 1982.

The city of Keizer offers several facilities for recreation, as Northside County Park, Claggett Creek Park, and Northridge Park are all located in the town. The Evergreen Aviation Museum and the Mission Mill Museum provide insight into the area's history. The Clear Lake Golf Course is popular among local golfers as well.
